Transconjunctival blepharoplasty is a type of the lower eyelid plastic surgery performed in order to get rid of bags under the eyes without cutting the skin.

People may have complaints about swelling under the eyes and about dark shadows under the eyes (“cyanosis”).The fact is that fatty tissue under the lower eyelid muscles may have excess volume. As fat accumulates water, it usually results into appearance of the bags under the eyes, tired look and premature wrinkles. Cut edges contact without any tension, so there is no need in suturing and the conjunctivitis usually heals the following day.

It means that the following day you can apply makeup and use decorative cosmetics. In case bruises appear, they will dissolve in a few days. Transconjunctival blepharoplasty is useful because it is characterized by short rehabilitation period after the operation due to cosmetic lymphatic drainage facial massage.
